Our wonderful tile guys.  They are with Aguirre Tile which has been in business since 1943.

This is Rick's study right off the living room.  We went through at LEAST 15 paint samples until we finally landed on this color.  It's Sherwin Williams "Attitude Gray. Once we get the floors stained dark, I think it will all come together and be a great color!

This is a fixture I already had and it dresses up the room.

This is another fixture I had and we decided to put it in the Master bedroom hallway

The backside of out building showing the new windows all painted.  The first window is Rick's study, then the guest room and finally the master

This is another entrance to our unit.  the window up high in the very corner is the kitchen window where my desk sits.

Our new floor plan!

This is the new floor plan.  This gives a better idea of how we opened things up and gave the condo better flow. All across the back is views of the ravine and bayou.  Click on the floor plan for larger view.

Out with the old...Pre remodel floorplan

Original floor plan of condo ...before we removed a few walls!  The kitchen wall in red was totally removed which expanded the kitchen tremendously.  We made a 5' opening in the yellow wall which made a butler's pantry off the dining room. We also put in a 5' opening between the first bedroom and the living room.  this opening has pocket doors and we converted the bedroom to Rick's study.

Tile work is being done...progress!

This is my pride and joy.  I saw a mosaic similar to this in a magazine. I redesigned it to more my taste and sent the drawing to a company in Miami. They sent me actual tile samples to select the tiles I wanted to use. Their designer duplicated what I was envisioning and then after approval, they gave the ok to create it.  It is all handmade in Lebanon.  Came rolled up in a big heavy tube.  The mosaic took about 6 weeks and is 4' x 3' and is now hanging on the back of my master shower wall.  I loved the idea so much that I had a similar one made on a smaller scale in the guest bath.

Now you can see more of the shower.  I used Crema Marfil marble field tiles on the wall and smaller 1" x 1" marble tiles for the shower floor

These are my bath faucets.  I love the touch of crystals...it's like a little bit of bling in the bath!

Tile work happening in the kitchen.  Here I used travertine tile with a glazed handmade border tile

Closer look, before grout

The kitchen sink with my new faucets.  We have an instant hot water to the left, the sprayer and soap dispenser to the right.  There's also a small button on the countertop next to the soap dispenser.  Can you see it?  That's the disposal button! Very convenient! Also, the granite is in. I love it...very soft, soothing color.

This is our wet bar.  The upper cabinets are about 2 feet wide and have glass fronts with glass shelves and puck lights to shine on the crystal bar ware.  In the center, the wall will be painted and I plan to hang a painting here.  My goal was for the bar not to look so much like a bar!  We used a dark granite here in a leatherette finish.  Meaning the granite has a slight texture "honed"  feel to it.  We will be installing a wine cooler to the left and ice maker to the right.

The fireplace mantle is finally installed!  The crown moulding and trim is all done. We raised the ceilings to 10'.  Makes such a difference. I don't know if you saw the before photos, but the old ceilings were 8' popcorn ceilings.

More tile work and also, everything is painted.  I'll be posting better photos featuring paint colors soon.
